في المغترب في مقاطعة كولومبيا البريطانية في أقصى غرب كندا ، تداعينا نحن مجموعة من المثقفين السوريين و الكنديين إلى أهمية توحيد صفوفنا ورأب الصدع الذي خلفه النظام البائد في جسم المجتمع السوري. لطالما تغنت الأجيال السابقة بتماسك هذا المجتمع عبر العصور كالبنيان المرصوص، ولذلك كان من الضروري أن نخطو خطوات ملموسة نحو تحقيق هذا الهدف.

استناداً إلى هذه الرؤية، قمنا بالاتصال بمجموعة من المسؤولين الكنديين المعروفين بدعمهم ومساعدتهم للاجئين السوريين في السنوات الماضية، وقد كانت ردودهم مشجعة ومبشرة بولادة الرابطة الجديدة. هذه الرابطة ستصبح الجسر الذي من خلاله يمكن للأجيال اللاحقة من أبناء وأحفاد السوريين المساهمة في إعادة بناء ما خربه النظام البائد في سورية.

تتجلى رؤيتنا للمستقبل في إعادة تأهيل وتعليم ثلاثة ملايين طفل سوري حُرموا من التعليم نتيجة لجوئهم إلى البلدان المجاورة. لقد عانت هذه الشريحة من الشباب من ويلات الحرب، مما جعلهم بعيدين عن ميادين العلم والمعرفة. إن هؤلاء الأمانة في رقابنا، ويجب علينا مساعدتهم للحصول على التعليم المهني اللازم لبدء حياة عملية وكريمة.

نسعى إلى تأهيل الجيل من مواليد سورية ما بين 2005 و2018، ونعمل على بناء الكلية الصناعية الكندية في سورية خلال الأربع سنوات القادمة، قبل عام 2030. يتكون مجلس الإدارة من شخصيات بارزة مثل السيد غلن بولك المستشار في مجلس مدينة بورت كوكويتلم ، والسيد  رديتشارد  لي  المستشار في مجلس مدينة  برنبي بالإضافة إلى الدكتور مهدي عطرات والدكتور محمود عبد الباقي

من خلال هذه الرابطة، نؤكد التزامنا بتعزيز الهوية السورية والارتقاء بواقع المجتمع السوري في المهجر، وجعل التعليم أولوية للجيل الجديد.

In the diaspora of British Columbia, we, a group of Syrian intellectuals, have come together to emphasize the importance of unifying our ranks and healing the rifts left by the oppressive regime in our community. Generations before us have long celebrated the cohesion of the Syrian community throughout history, likening it to a well-founded structure. Therefore, it has become essential for us to take tangible steps toward this goal.

Based on this vision, we reached out to a number of Canadian officials known for their support and assistance to Syrian refugees in recent years. Their responses were encouraging and promising, heralding the birth of our association. This association will serve as the bridge through which future generations of Syrians’ children and grandchildren can contribute to rebuilding what the oppressive regime has destroyed in Syria.

Our vision for the future is centered on rehabilitating and educating three million Syrian children who have been deprived of education due to their displacement to neighboring countries. This segment of youth has suffered the ravages of war, leaving them distant from the realms of knowledge and learning. These children are entrusted to our care, and we must assist them in obtaining the necessary vocational education to begin a dignified and productive life.

We aim to rehabilitate the generation born in Syria between 2005 and 2018 and are working toward establishing the Canadian Industrial College in Syria over the next four years, before the year 2030. Our board of directors consists of notable figures such as Glenn Pollock, Councillor in the City of Port Coquitlam; Richard Lee, Councillor in the City of Burnaby; as well as Dr. Mehdy Al Aatarat and Dr. Mahmoud Abdulbaki.

Through this association, we affirm our commitment to enhancing the Syrian identity and elevating the reality of the Syrian community in the diaspora, while prioritizing education for the new generation.
